Busy day in a writer's life!

At the allergist getting my weekly shots but determined to blog again this week!

Great morning chatting with fellow author Dora Hiers. We've been preparing our program on "Writing Inspirational Novels" that we'll be giving at area libraries in July. Nothing beats talking with another writer about all the ups and downs in this crazy business!

Next, errands. Writing today? Not so much.

Multi-author book signing July 14 I'm getting excited about participating in the Carolina Christian Writers multi-author book signing in a couple of weeks! Carolina Christian Writers (CCW) is hosting this multi-author book signing in participation with the 2012 Magnificent Hope Tour project to benefit Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network. In addition to the book signing, CCW will be collecting various items on CVAN's wish list.

Hubby's project For two or three months now, my husband has been converting an old play "fort" into a storage shed. The fort came with the house we bought last year, but the grandkids never showed much interest in it. And with the solid framework, it seemed ideal for walling in, adding a roof, and turning into some useful storage space. Well, finally, after averaging three to five trips a week to Lowe's and/or Home Depot, he finished it!!!! And just in time for our kids to store a ton of their stuff as they prepare for another overseas mission assignment. Some of the building credit must go to grandsons who helped shingle the roof, and hubby's brother, who engineered the door. I even helped some--but mostly tried to stay out of the way!
