Just one more day until my friend Carla and I leave for Mount Hermon. My preparations are down to the nitty-gritty task of coordinating my conference wardrobe and fitting it all into one suitcase. I always tend to overpack. Is that just a “woman thing,” or are there any guys out there with this problem?
Today I invested in one of those nifty wheeled office cases. The very thought of lugging my laptop and conference materials up and down the hilly pathways at Mount Hermon was making my achy shoulder ache even more! Now we’ll see how much extra stuff I can cram into that thing, “just in case.”
Now, if I can just quit stressing over pitches and editor appointments . . . What are the odds? I do know I’ll be seeing a lot of familiar faces, and I look forward to the worshipful, uplifting atmosphere.
As my regulars may have noticed, my normal blog schedule has suffered some interruptions this month. I hope to have at least a couple more Literary Star guests with true romance stories for you, but those will have to wait until I return from Mount Hermon and get my blogging act together.
In the meantime, it would mean so much to have your prayers for safe travel and a successful conference for all involved.
