Seekerville Blog: If you haven’t discovered the Seekerville Blog, be sure to check it out. You’ll find all kinds of contest information and excellent advice on writing in general. Yesterday I posted on how to know when your work is ready for editorial scrutiny. Today Julie Lessman posts on how deeply she was blessed at her first ACFW writers conference.
Next Friday's “Literary Star” guest blogger clues:
- Over 40 books in print, over 1 million copies sold
- Founding member of ACFW
- Would love to own a Harley but her legs are too short!
E-mail me your guess (do NOT post it in a comment) by midnight Thursday and win one extra entry in my November contest!
Today’s “Forever-Love Principle” from Gary Smalley’s book:
Forever-love asks, “How can our differences draw us together?”
Are you and your spouse more different than alike? Jack and I sure are! He’s an outgoing, laid-back kind of guy. I’m reserved and cautious. He’s active, I’d rather be a couch potato. He’s talkative, I’m quiet. He loves watching sports on TV, I love emotional dramas. He reads techno-thrillers, I read romantic women’s fiction.
Funny, though, how our very differences seem to complement each other. Where I’m weak, Jack is strong, and vice versa. You know, I think that’s exactly what God had in mind when He designed marriage. “And the two shall become one”--balancing and completing each other. Perfect!
