A Thanksgiving Blessing First, congratulations to Dawn Morton, the winner of A Texas Legacy Christmas, by DiAnn Mills. Just a reminder, even though this is a holiday week and I’m sure many of you will be traveling, spending time with family, and/or putting up Christmas decorations, I still have a fabulous guest blogger scheduled for Friday, and you won’t want to miss this author’s story of true love. Also remember, my November contest ends soon, but there’s still time to enter. Just post a comment on ANY Friday blog and mention you’d like to be entered. I’m giving away a copy of Gary Smalley’s book Making Love Last Forever. Here’s another Forever-love principle from Smalley’s book: Forever-love remembers to romance. It doesn’t matter how old you are or how long you’ve been married. Romance still matters. I still have precious memories of romantic moments between Jack and me. Five long-stemmed red roses five weeks before our wedding day. A Valentine’s Day when, without realizing it, we bought each other similar little “Love Is . . .” figurines. Honeymooning in an A-frame cabin in the mountains and eating beanie-weenies until we never wanted to see them again! I realize romance is destined to evolve over years and years of married life, but time doesn’t lessen its importance. It’s the need to feel cherished, adored, each other’s Number One. And it doesn’t happen without planning and intentionality. This Thanksgiving weekend, do some small thing to romance your sweetie. Then report back to me next week...
