Whew! I’m on Day Four of being a happy new Mac user! After the trauma of Vista and Office 2007, this has been utter bliss! There are a few bugs I’m still working on with the transfer of files from my Windows XP PC to the Mac, but overall, the process has been amazingly uncomplicated. It’s so nice when things work! I was on my wireless network (even with all the security stuff!) in less than 5 minutes. I was printing over the network on shared printers almost as quickly. (Including my ancient HP LaserJet 4L printer the Mac sales guy said was too old to even be supported!)
Sadly, this whole computer fiasco has put me way behind on just about everything else in my life. The blogging schedule is just one casualty. Writing? Not much. Housework? Forget it!
On top of everything else, this morning I had to spend a couple of hours at the hospital getting pre-admitted for arthroscopic knee surgery on Wednesday. Had an EKG and blood work, and the admitting nurse sent me home with a shiny new pair of crutches and instructions on how to use them. Hmmm, what happened to only being out of commission a couple of days???
So . . . if the blog posts continue to be sporadic over the next week or so, please be patient. And I haven’t forgotten about the autographed copy of Mary’s book for one lucky winner (see details at the end of Mary’s post last Friday).
I will also be announcing the winner of my October contest later this week . . . as soon as my head clears from the anesthesia! And Margie Lawson will be back this Friday with another great tip on romance and communication.
In the meantime, keep me in your prayers this Wednesday, and I’ll be back in touch soon!
